Shining Armor: "As members of the Royal Guard you are the protectors of Equestria.  You will follow our code of honor, because discipline and protocol are very important to us.  You will learn combat and strategy, for the defense and security of all ponies.  You will get to travel all over Equestria, seeing new places and learning new things."

Thunderlane: "You will meet a beautiful pink princess who wants to marry you."

Flash Sentry: "But then it turns out she's a changling."

Both Ponies: "Hah ha ha."

Shining Armor: "Thunderlane!  Flash Sentry!  500 laps of the palace.  Now."

Both Ponies: *Annoyed grunt!*
